DistroCode builds mobile apps in Flutter, so one codebase runs on iPhone and Android. We build the app and, where it needs one, the Laravel back end it talks to, for clients in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. Every app is quoted after a free consultation, once the screens and features are written down.
Tell us what the app has to do or see the web app projects.
We are DistroCode, a US company with over 300 projects delivered since 2017. Much of that work was custom, mobile apps included.
Three parts, quoted together.
One Flutter codebase that runs on iPhone and Android. Screens, logins, notifications and payments, built to the list we agreed in writing.
Where the app needs to store accounts, orders or bookings, we build the server side in Laravel. More on that is on our web apps page.
We prepare the builds for the App Store and Google Play and walk you through the submission on your own developer accounts.
Yes, when the app needs one. Many do not, and we say so in the quote.
An app that only shows content can read it from the website you already have. An app with accounts, orders or bookings needs a server that keeps that data, and we build it in Laravel.
The same back end can serve your website, so an order placed in the app shows up on the site as well.
The Laravel side is the same work as the four web app projects on our web apps page, each told without the client’s name.
In five steps.
Less than we would like. Most of our older mobile portfolio is no longer online, and we will not invent case studies to fill the gap.
Mobile case cards go on our Work page only when we can show a live app and the client agrees. Until then, the free consultation is where you judge us: you get a written scope and a fixed quote before you pay anything.
This is what a scope looks like, written for an app nobody has asked us to build.
Sample
A booking app for a made-up dog grooming salon, iPhone and Android.
Screens. Sign in, pick a service, pick a groomer and a time, pay, my bookings, and settings. Six in all.
Logins. Email and password, plus Sign in with Apple and Google.
Payments. A card payment when the booking is made, through the payment provider the salon already uses.
Notifications. A reminder the day before, and a message when the dog is ready for pickup.
Back end. Laravel, with an admin page where staff see, move and cancel bookings.
Not in this scope. A staff app, a loyalty scheme, and getting people to install the app.
These are our limits on app work. Read them before you ask.
It is quoted after a free consultation. The price depends on the number of screens, logins, payments and whether the app needs its own back end, so we write the scope down first and price that.
Yes. We build in Flutter, which runs one codebase on both, so you are not paying for two separate apps.
Yes. We build web apps in Laravel, and the app and the website can read from the same back end, so an order or a booking shows up in both places.
Clients in the United States, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We work in writing by email and reply within one working day, Monday to Friday.
Tell us who it is for and what it has to do. Contact us or email sales@distrocode.com, and we will reply with the questions we need answered before the free consultation.
