Custom web app development in Laravel and React

When a website builder runs out, we build the software. Booking systems, quote tools, stores with their own pricing rules, and training platforms with a login for each role. Every project is quoted once we know what the app has to do.

Tell us what the app has to do or see the app projects.

We are DistroCode, a US company, building websites since 2017. We write Laravel on the server and React or Vue for the screens people use.

When do you need a web app instead of a website?

When the site has to work out something for each customer, not just show pages. Prices that change by customer. Bookings paid in installments. Staff and clients who each need their own login and their own view.

A Squarespace, Wix or WordPress site handles pages, forms and a standard store well. Once the rules are yours alone, a site builder starts fighting you, and a web app is usually the cleaner answer.

If a website will do the job, we will say so. It costs less to build and less to keep running.

What do we build?

Software that runs in the browser, for your staff, your customers or both.

The server side is Laravel. The screens are React or Vue.

Which app projects can you look at?

Five projects on our Work page are web applications rather than sites on a site builder. Each card keeps to what that project’s own page states.

  • AMS Find Parts home page: a part number search over a photo of circuit boards, with instant quotes and two currencies listed below.

    AMS Find Parts

    Built with: Laravel
What it does: a computer parts store for business and consumer buyers

Buyers search by part number or name, order at the listed price, or ask for a quote on a bulk order. Prices can be set per customer organization. The store takes Canadian and US dollars, and charges tax only to customers who pay in Canadian dollars.

  • Larsa staff dashboard: a menu for contracts, calendar, kitchen orders and invoices beside an events chart.

    Larsa

    Built with: Laravel and React
    What it does: event booking

Clients enter the whole event: guest count, adult and children’s menus, drinks, bar style and timings, and seating. They can pay in four installments before the date. Staff find bookings by name, contract number or date.

  • Onwards learner dashboard: twelve course units, each showing its progress.

    Onwards (Out-Lifts)

    Built with: Laravel and React
What it does: training for lift engineers

Four roles share one platform: learner, assessor, trainer and quality assurance. Learners work through lessons and quizzes and submit reports from real jobs on site. Quizzes are marked automatically, assessors mark the harder work by hand, and trainers answer questions in a live chat.

None of these project pages quotes a sales figure or a usage number. We have not measured one we could show you, so this page does not quote one either.

How does a project run?

In five steps.

  1. You tell us what the app has to do. Who uses it, what each person needs to see, and any date you are working toward. We reply in writing within one working day, Monday to Friday.
  2. We ask, then quote. Questions first, in writing. Then a quote that names the price, the scope, what is left out, and a date.
  3. We build it. We tell you what we will change before we change it.
  4. You try it before it goes live. You see it working first. Nothing goes live until you say so.
  5. You get a written note. What we built, where it runs, and anything that needs a decision from you.

What will we not promise?

Read these before you ask for a quote.

  • A result in sales or hours saved. We have not measured one on these projects, and we will not guess one for yours.
  • Hosting. The app runs on the host you choose. We do not host it.
  • Round-the-clock cover. We do not offer 24/7 support.
  • Work past the quote without asking. If the scope grows, we stop and ask first.

Questions people ask

Do you only work in Laravel and React?

Laravel on the server, and React or Vue for the screens. Every app on our Work page is Laravel, React or both. We offer Vue for new work, though none of the projects on our Work page uses it.

Could a WordPress site do this instead?

Sometimes. WordPress with the right plugins covers a lot, and we write our own WordPress plugins under the name PluginSprout. If a plugin will do the job, we will tell you, because it costs less than an app.

Can the app connect to my CRM or other tools?

That is often part of the job. For connecting forms, CRM, email and invoices, see our AI and workflow automation work, which covers CRM, ERP and GoHighLevel workflows.

Do you host the app?

No. The app runs on the host you choose, and we set it up there.

How do I reach you?

By email at sales@distrocode.com or through the contact form. We reply in writing within one working day, Monday to Friday, so you keep a record of what was said.
