A plugin that lets an AI assistant work on a WordPress site. Every change it proposes waits as a draft until a person approves it. In development, version 0.5.0.

Who has been building this since 2017?
We have built websites and web apps for clients since 2017, over 300 projects so far. DistroCode LLC is registered in Michigan. Two of the jobs on our Work page are custom builds in Laravel, the bookings one with a React front end: event bookings paid in four installments, and a parts store with a price for each business buyer, in Canadian and US dollars.
We also make our own software. PluginSprout is our line of WordPress plugins, which we write, sell and maintain. SiteBridge, a tool that lets AI assistants work on a WordPress site, is in testing on our own lab sites and is not for sale yet.

How do you train and assess lift engineers in one system?
Four roles: learner, assessor, trainer and quality assurance. Quizzes mark themselves, and assessors mark the longer tasks by hand.
Some work outgrows a website. We build that as a web app: Laravel on the server, React or Vue for the screens people use.
Each job names the platform and the work we did. None of them claims a sales figure or a traffic result, because we have not measured one we could show you.
AI in our own products
Our AI Product Recommender is a chat widget that finds products in a WooCommerce store. In its next release, it can only quote a price it looked up in the store. Our test for that rule runs 24 checks, and all 24 passed on 9 October 2026.
Can you automate the work behind the website?
Yes. We automate workflows with AI, and we do CRM, ERP and GoHighLevel work. The aim is that a customer’s details are typed in once and reach every system that needs them.

- A website enquiry becomes a CRM contact, starts the follow-up email, and later becomes an invoice, without anyone copying it across.

- AI steps a person approves.
- AI sorts incoming enquiries or drafts a reply, and someone on your team reads it and approves it before anything goes out to a customer.
We map the workflow before we build, and we test every automation on a copy before it touches live records.
How do we work on your site?
A backup or a staging copy comes first. Then we find the cause and tell you what we will change. After the fix you get a short written summary: what was wrong and what we did.
A staging copy is a private duplicate of your site. Your customers keep using the live one while we work, so they never see a half-done fix.
Here is one fix written up the way you would receive it. It comes from our own staging store, not a client. We switched every payment gateway off on purpose to test the fix.

- Every payment gateway was switched off.
- Correction
- We turned on Check payments and placed test order #13 for $24.00. It went through.
The store ran WordPress 7.1.2. The whole fault fits in three lines because the cause was a single setting. Most faults take longer to trace, and the note still keeps to the same three lines.
Which platform should your website use?
If you already have a site, the better question may be whether to stay where you are. Here is how we weigh it, as people who work on both.
Squarespace suits a site whose store, bookings or members fit its built-in tools. The company hosts it, runs the software and keeps it updated. You give up most control over the code in exchange for fewer things that can break.
WordPress suits a site that needs a store, bookings, memberships or anything built to order. You choose the host and the plugins, which gives you more room. It also means updates are your job, or the job of whoever you hire.
Wix sits closer to Squarespace: the company hosts it and you edit it in the browser. We work on Wix sites too, for fixes and upkeep. If you would rather be on WordPress, we can move a Wix site across.
If you are unsure, tell us what the site has to do. We will say which platform we would pick for that, and why.
Who should not hire us?
We would rather say this now than after you have sent access.
- Your budget is below what it costs to find the cause. We do not guess at a fix we have not traced.
- You need someone to pick up the phone at night or on a Sunday. We reply in writing within one working day, Monday to Friday. On a care plan, the uptime watch alerts us when your site stops answering, so a weekend outage is already flagged for us on Monday.
What happens after you write to us?
We answer a first message within one working day, Monday to Friday.
We work on your site and your host with the access you give us, on WordPress, Squarespace, Wix or a custom web app built in Laravel with React or Vue.
Every job ends with the written summary, so you keep a record of what we found and what we changed.
Questions people ask
How much does WordPress maintenance cost a month?
The care plan is $99 a month. Updates run once a week, on a weekday, on a copy of your site first, and you get a daily backup and a written note at the end of the month. The WooCommerce store plan is $229 a month and adds a checkout test after every update. Details are on the WordPress maintenance page.
Does Squarespace use WordPress?
No. Squarespace and WordPress are separate platforms, and a site runs on one or the other. We work on both. If you are on Squarespace, the contact form has a Squarespace website design option.
