DistroCode fixes WooCommerce stores that stopped selling, looks after them each month and builds the features WooCommerce lacks, for clients in the US, Canada, Australia and New Zealand. We back up first, work on a staging copy, and place an order before and after every fix. Fixes are priced by how many problems you need fixed, from the one-off fix prices on our WordPress maintenance page.
We are DistroCode, a US company with over 300 projects delivered since 2017. We also make PluginSprout, our own line of WooCommerce plugins.
The checkout, almost every time.
A payment gateway that stops loading after an update. A shipping zone that leaves buyers with no shipping option to pick. A plugin that clashes with the theme on the cart page. Each one looks like a quiet store until someone checks the orders.
We have written up the shipping one on our blog: why a store shows no shipping options, with the cause and the fix.
On a copy of the store, never on the live one first.
On our own test store we switched off the last payment method, fixed it on staging, then placed an order to prove the checkout worked.
Every fix runs the same way. We take a backup, reproduce the fault on staging, find the cause and place an order before and after. The live store changes only once you have read what we found and said yes.
Updates that do not break the checkout.
WooCommerce, the theme and the payment plugins all update on their own schedules. Our store care runs every update on a copy first, takes daily backups, and places an order after each round of updates. Plans are on our website maintenance page.
Yes. Some we already sell as plugins.
Our PluginSprout plugins each do one store job. When no plugin fits, we build the feature to order, or a separate app that talks to the store, as described on our web apps page.
Yes. We reproduce the fault on a copy of the store, find which gateway, plugin or setting caused it, and place an order before and after the fix so you can see the checkout work again.
Fixes are priced by how many problems you need fixed, from the one-off fix prices on our WordPress maintenance page. We agree the scope in writing before we start, so the price does not move halfway through.
Only after a backup. We work on a staging copy first, so customers never see a half-finished fix, and we change the live store once you have read what we found and said yes.
Yes. If one of our PluginSprout plugins does the job we say so, and if none does we quote the feature as a build after we have seen the store.
